Context
La Sartoria del Gusto is a gourmet restaurant in Olbia. The name says it all — "the tailor shop of taste": dishes cut to measure, Sardinian ingredients, a wine list built with the same care as the food. The website had to match the dining room.
Challenge
The menu changes, the guests are international, and bookings only came through third-party portals. The site had to keep a multilingual menu always up to date, showcase the wine list, and move bookings to a direct, commission-free channel.
Strategy
An editorial site, not a brochure: food storytelling at the centre, dish photography as the main narrative material. Google, TheFork and Tripadvisor reviews aggregated into a single social-proof section. Booking moved to WhatsApp — the channel guests actually use.
Design
Editorial layout with a clear hierarchy: featured dishes, a digital menu that reads like a real menu, a wine-pairing section curated by the kitchen.
Development
Self-managed multilingual digital menu, optimised photo gallery, direct WhatsApp booking via deep link, multi-platform reviews integration.
