This cookie policy describes what cookies are, which ones we use on studiojem.it, and how you can manage your preferences, in line with art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (9 July 2021).

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device while you browse, to make it work correctly, to remember your preferences, or to collect statistical information in anonymous or aggregate form. On their own, they do not contain information that directly identifies you.
In short
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, but only if you consent from the banner shown on your first visit. We use no advertising trackers, first- or third-party, and we do not profile anyone for marketing purposes.
Measurement cookies (Google Analytics 4)
If you accept, Google Analytics sets technical cookies to count visits and page views in aggregate form. We use Google Consent Mode: before your choice these cookies are not set and Google receives at most anonymous, aggregated signals with no identifiers. Processing is carried out by Google Ireland Limited, acting as a data processor; data may transfer outside the European Economic Area under Google's standard contractual clauses, which ensure an adequate level of protection for the transferred data. Your choice is valid for 12 months: after that the banner asks once more. In the meantime it does not come back on every visit, and accepting or declining costs exactly the same — one click, two identical buttons, neither of them nudged by the design.
You can change your mind before it expires: . Declining does not limit your use of the site: no feature is gated by this choice. You can also block or delete cookies at any time from your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Local technical data
Besides cookies, the site uses your browser's local storage: these are not cookies in the technical sense and are not transmitted to anyone, but they sit on your device, so you should know what they are. None of them requires consent: they make work what you asked for. You can remove them at any time by clearing your browser data.

Both drafts and the journey stay on your device: they only leave it the moment you press send. If you send no request they reach nobody, and the journey is gone when you close the tab. What we do with them when you do send is written in the privacy policy.
Technical cookies
The hosting infrastructure may set cookies strictly necessary to run the service (e.g. load balancing or security). These are essential to the site's operation and, under art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, require no consent.
There is exactly one other cookie, sj-dash, and it does not concern visitors: it holds the session of whoever from the studio signs in to the private area where we read incoming requests. It is set only after a password sign-in, lasts 12 hours, and never appears on the public pages.
