Context
AVOY is a marketplace for tourism in Sardinia: stays, experiences and local activities on one platform. The model flips the OTA playbook — zero commissions, verified hosts, direct contact with the owner. Hosts keep 100% of every booking. The platform maps over 2.5k activities, 1024+ experiences and 51+ properties across the whole island.
Challenge
Three verticals — Properties, Experiences, Activities — had to live in one product without blurring into each other. Hosts needed real tools: syncing with Airbnb and Booking, guest management, multilingual communication. And search had to explain the territory, not just list results. All of it on one platform, readable from a phone on the beach.
Strategy
We built the platform around the territory: every Sardinian zone told through its own story, three verticals behind a single search. The host proposition — zero commissions, direct contact — is the core message, repeated where it counts. Support runs through Sofia, an AI concierge available 24/7 in 12 languages, for guests and hosts alike.
Design
Clean interface, photography first, advanced filters with no friction. An interactive Mapbox map with clustering makes the island-wide offer readable at a glance. Experience and activity pages share the same structure as properties: clear categories, essential information, a direct path to booking. One system, three verticals, no visual noise.
Development
We built the channel manager that syncs calendars and bookings with Airbnb, Booking and other OTAs. A Guest Portal with QR codes digitises check-in and house rules. Sofia, the AI concierge, answers 24/7 in 12 languages. A Mapbox map with clusters and advanced filters, and three verticals running on a single data layer.
Results
AVOY now covers the whole island across its three verticals: properties, experiences and local activities. Hosts work commission-free, with tools you'd expect from a much bigger platform; guests get direct contact with owners and always-on multilingual support from Sofia. The platform is live at avoy.it.
